The Threshold.

Feel better now. Support your health for what’s ahead.

For women navigating changes in energy, sleep, weight, stress, and other aspects of midlife health.

Grounded in Lifestyle Medicine, and board-certified health and wellness coaching, The Threshold helps you better understand what’s changing, decide what matters most, and make realistic changes that support your health now and for the years ahead.

Who it’s for

Women in perimenopause, menopause, or midlife who want support with changes in their health, habits, and how they feel.

What you get

A comprehensive health and lifestyle questionnaire, regular private coaching over three months, personalized resources, and support between sessions.

Where we’re headed

Sustainable habits, greater confidence in caring for your health, and a clearer understanding of what supports your long-term health and wellbeing.

Feeling “fine” isn’t always the same
as feeling well.

You may be doing many of the things you know are good for you and still not feel quite like yourself.

Your energy may be lower. Sleep may be less predictable. Stress may affect you differently. Your weight or body may be changing, and strategies that once worked may not seem to work the same way anymore.

There’s no shortage of information about how to be healthy. The harder part is knowing what matters most for you now, how the different pieces fit together, and where to begin.

That’s where coaching can help.

Midlife health is more than one thing.
Your approach should reflect that.

Understand what’s changing.

Midlife can bring changes in sleep, energy, mood, stress, weight, and other aspects of health. Aging and the menopause transition can both play a role.

We’ll explore what’s changing for you and what matters most for your health.

Grounded in Lifestyle Medicine.

Lifestyle Medicine provides an evidence-based foundation for our work. Nutrition, physical activity, restorative sleep, stress management, and other everyday habits all play a role in your health and wellbeing.

Together, we focus on the areas most relevant to you and find realistic ways to make changes that fit your life.

Support your health for the years ahead.

Midlife is an important time to think beyond how you feel today. The choices you make now can support cardiovascular and metabolic health, help maintain muscle and bone strength, and contribute to your health and wellbeing in the years ahead.

The goal isn’t simply to get through the menopause transition. It’s to better understand your changing body, feel more confident in caring for your health, and build habits that support your wellbeing for years to come.

The Threshold Experience.
Three months of personalized support.

Creating sustainable change takes time. The Threshold gives us time to understand what’s happening, prioritize what matters most, put changes into practice, and adjust as you learn what works for you.

Before we begin

Health & Lifestyle Questionnaire

Before our first session, you’ll complete a comprehensive questionnaire so I can better understand what’s been changing, your current lifestyle, your concerns and strengths, your priorities, and what you’d most like to improve.

We start with your health, your life, and your priorities, and build from there.

01

Start with the bigger picture.

During our first 90-minute session, we’ll look at your health, lifestyle, and priorities together. We’ll talk about what matters most to you and where it makes sense to begin.

02

Put change into practice.

Over the next three months, we’ll meet regularly to focus on what matters most for your health, put realistic changes into practice, work through barriers, and adjust as your needs and circumstances change.

03

Learn what works for you.

You’ll have relevant resources and support between sessions to help you apply what you’re working on, notice what supports you, and stay connected to your goals.

You’re the expert
on your life.

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to midlife health. Coaching is collaborative.

I bring nearly two decades of nursing experience and my training as a National Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach and Lifestyle Medicine Coach. You bring the expertise on your own body, circumstances, priorities, and values.

My role is to help you make sense of what’s changing, clarify what matters most to you, and find practical ways to make changes that fit your life.

The Threshold may be
right for you if…

  • Your energy isn’t what it used to be.

  • Sleep, stress, weight, or other midlife changes are affecting how you feel.

  • You know many of the things that support good health but have trouble putting them all together.

  • You’ve tried making changes before, but they haven’t been sustainable.

  • You want to feel stronger and more comfortable in your body.

  • You want a clearer, more manageable approach to caring for your health.

What can become
possible.

  • Greater awareness of what influences your energy and wellbeing

  • More confidence making decisions about your health

  • Greater resilience when routines are disrupted

  • More sustainable habits around nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, and self-care

  • Feeling stronger and more at ease in your body

  • Habits that support your long-term health and wellbeing

The goal isn’t to change everything. It’s to understand what matters most for your health and build from there.

“I used to feel overwhelmed by all the conflicting health advice and promises on social media. Janine helped me connect the dots between my sleep, stress, and weight. Now I better understand what actually works for me and feel more confident in the choices I make.”
